The Crescent School is an independent co-educational day school for children from the age of 2+ to 11 years. It was founded in 1947, originally to provide a place of education for the young children of the Masters of Rugby School. Over the years the school has expanded steadily, admitting pupils from throughout the Rugby area. In 1988, having outgrown its original premises, the school moved to its present site.
The school now occupies modern purpose-built accommodation in Bawnmore Road, Bilton, just over a mile to the south of Rugby town centre. The buildings have been fully refurbished and provide large and cheerful classrooms with a separate wing for nursery and reception classes. There are specialist rooms for Science, Design and Performing Arts, computer facilities and a central library. The multi-purpose hall provides a venue for daily assemblies and for large scale music making and is equipped for Physical Education. The school is surrounded by its own gardens, including a nature garden and has a playing field and large playground marked out for a variety of games.
Interested parents are warmly invited to visit the school and experience the happy and industrious atmosphere at first hand.
